Environment:

With 14 years of experience in the professional world of child daycare I have found that watching children develop through the stages is my enjoyment. I believe in a positive environment for children. They will be encouraged in everything they do. This is so important for their emotional growth and well being. Hugs and kisses are also endless around here.

Daily Activities:

Development is mostly done during the first few years of a child’s life. This is why it is so important that learning letters, numbers, and colors will be a part of their daily routine. I think this helps children learn to concentrate, be creative and helps develop their motor skills. These fun/playtime activities will be the same for all children in the daycare, but will be geared toward each child’s individual need as well as age group to ready them for school. The older children will also be able to get experience with the younger children, set a good example for their peers and have small responsibilities.

Even though the Little House Daycare is not our home, every inch looks and feels like a home for the comfort of your child.

The playground and toys available for fun time are approved by the National Program for Playground Safety. The play yard is fenced in for security.

Safety:
My daycare is state approved and licensed. It is equipped with properly working, regularly updated smoke and fire alarms. The daycare is inspected monthly by the state.
I am First Aid and CPR certified. The daycare is insured, and has no pets. The children are taught safety, stranger, fire, weather drills, 911 and how to calmly exit the daycare if needed. We have no more than 12 children at any time and no more than 6 without an assistant.
Discipline:
Young children up to 2 years are redirected in their actions. Older children are warned about inappropriate behavior. Second warnings are handled with a time-out and discussing the inappropriate behavior. Parents are informed of behavior good and bad.
Payment Schedule:
Payment in full is expected at the end of each week. I appreciate your understanding of this policy, as I will be better able to operate my daycare if the budget stays in the black. If payment is not made your child is no longer entitled to daycare. One week’s payment in advance is needed to enroll your child in daycare. The money is held and used as your last week of daycare payment.
Weekly Rates:
Ages 6 weeks to 2 years:
2 years and up:

$100
$95
The above rate is required to hold child's place to attend daycare. It is not dependant on how many or how few days they attend. State funding accepted.
Hours of Operation:

The daycare is open from 6 am to 5:30 pm.

Closed all holidays and any other prearranged times.

Illness:
Children with fever or any contagious disease can not attend daycare. If the child develops a fever or begins vomiting while at the daycare they will need to be picked up.
Any medicines to be given to the child will need written instructions. If prescribed medicine, the Rx label with instructions must be present. The child’s name must accompany the medicine.
Interview for Placement:
Call for an interview for you and your child. I prefer to do so after hours and at least one week prior to start date. During the interview process I am just as critical of the children and parents that I am going to place in the center as the parents who are wanting to place. I do not accept just anyone. The mix for your child and the children already in the daycare must be a good match.
